How do I sign up to join AOGS?
By attending an AOGS Annual Meeting, one can become an AOGS member. Membership duration is for three annual meetings. Visit https://www.asiaoceania.org/society/public.asp for additional information.

Abstract Submissions
What are the dates for abstract submission?
The dates for abstract submission are 17 Oct 2023 to 02 Jan 2024 at 12.00pm SGT (GMT +8).
I have successfully paid the abstract submission fee. Why am I still unable to proceed with abstract submission?
Kindly allow up to 72 hours for the system to reflect your payment. If not, please email to AOGS Secretariat info@asiaoceania.org with your payment transaction slip.

How are modifications and updates made to the author/co-author information?
When you add a co-author's email address to the author list, a user account is automatically generated. The new user will receive a temporary password and a verification email. Co-authors must sign into their accounts to make changes that will automatically appear on the abstract using "My Profile" in the top left corner of the screen. Alternately, the author can request the revisions by sending an email to the Secretariat at info@asiaoceania.org.
My abstract was suddenly withdrawn. Can I have my paid abstract processing charge reimbursed?
The payment of any abstract fees is not returnable. Refer to the AOGS abstract submission guidelines here.

Registration
How do I enroll in AOGS2024?
On January 30, 2024, the online registration gateway will go live. All throughout the conference, attendees can register.
Where can I get information about registering and paying fees?
Registration Categories & Fees will be announced on January 30, 2024.
How many presentations can I sign up for at the conference?
An author is allowed to submit up to TWO accepted abstracts with each meeting registration. If you want to present more than TWO accepted abstracts, there is an additional charge of SGD 650/USD 500 per presentation. Each author may sign up and provide a maximum of FOUR presentations.
Where can I get an invoice or receipt?
Directly from your MARS account, you can download and print a copy of your invoice or receipt.

When is the registration period and deadline for authors?
The online registration gateway will be active on January 30, 2024. Author presenters can register from January 30 to March 12, 2024. The accepted abstract must be covered by a registration no later than 12 March 2024 to avoid being withdrawn.

I've tried numerous times, but I'm unable to make a payment.
Please try your payment again, and we would like to recommend the following things that might have gone wrong:
  1. Confirm with the credit card company whether your card's 3D secure feature is enabled and whether it may be used to make purchases in foreign currencies.
  2. Verify that all card information is entered accurately.
  3. Try using different cards to pay.
What must a student proof contain?
Your official university letter in English as proof of your enrolment or a student ID card, in English.
It should at the very least include the following details:
  • Student ID with a picture, including: Student Name, Student Matriculation Number
  • Date of Expiration or Expected Graduation (This cannot occur earlier than the conference start date.)
  • University or institution name
What must a partner society member proof contain?
A membership payment receipt or an official letter in English from the relevant AOGS partner society can serve as your proof of membership status. It should include the following details:
  • Your Name
  • Validity of Partner Society Membership Date/Period
  • Member ID number
If I can't make the meeting, will my paid registration fee be refunded?
The AOGS cancellation policy states that any refunds for cancellations made prior to the cancellation deadline are subject to an SGD 90.00 administrative fee. For further information, please visit the Categories & Fees page:
How can I get a letter inviting me to the meeting?
The invitation letter will be available from January 30, 2024

Funding Support
I have an AOGS Comps award. Do I need to register again?
AOGS Comps recipients must still register even though there is no cost. Please register by no later than March 5, 2024, or the award will expire.
Is there financial assistance scheme available to help with travel and hotel expenses?
Unfortunately, AOGS does not offer financial assistance for travel and lodging. We sincerely hope that you will be able to find additional funding options so that you can attend the conference.

Presentation File Upload
I registered my abstract, therefore why am I unable to upload the presentation file?
Without first registering the abstract, you won't be able to upload the presentation file from your account. Since (Registrant Name) registered (Abstract ID) for the event, he will need to upload the poster/oral presentation file from his account.
I didn't submit my online oral presentation file by the deadline. Now what should I do?
Please upload your presentation file directly to the meeting room laptop 15 minutes before the start of your session by bringing it with you on a USB thumb drive.

Proceedings
Are conference proceedings published?
AOGS does not publish a proceeding of conference abstracts, so please be aware of that. Only accepted abstracts will be made available for public viewing on the conference website. However, you might wish to think about submitting your work to Geoscience Letters, the society's journal.
