Electing the AOGS Council for the 2028–2030 Term

AOGS invites nominations of qualified Individual Members who are willing to contribute their experience, judgement and leadership to the Society. Nominations received through the prescribed process will be considered by the Nomination Committee when it prepares the candidate slate for Council approval.

Positions & Eligibility

Positions Open for Nomination

Nominations are invited for:

  • President-Elect
  • Secretary General-Elect
  • Treasurer-Elect
  • Section President-Elect for each of the eight AOGS Sections: AS, BG, HS, IG, OS, PS, ST and SE

Before Submitting a Nomination

Any current AOGS member may nominate another eligible member or submit a self-nomination. Please review the eligibility requirements before beginning.

Each nominee may be considered for one office only in the 2027 General Election.

The nomination form must be completed in MARS. You will need the nominee's primary MARS email address so that the correct member record can be identified.

The submission must include a nomination statement, curriculum vitae, portrait photograph, biography and candidate vision statement. Incomplete nominations will not proceed for review.

What Happens Next

What Happens After Submission

The nominee may be asked to confirm willingness to stand, review personal particulars and complete any candidate information required for publication.

The Nomination Committee will consider eligible nominations, consult the relevant Sections for Section President-Elect positions, and prepare a proposed slate. The slate is subject to Council approval before candidates are announced.
