Spend
half a day strolling around the famous Singapore Zoological
Gardens. Built on a "natural habitat" concept,
it houses more than 3,000 animals in landscaped enclosures
where rock walls and streams replace cages. The Zoo
is well known for its successful Orang Utan breeding
programme, and is also home to a number of endangered
species such as the Sumatran tiger, the clouded leopard,
the cheetah and the golden lion tamarin. The latest
attraction is the underwater viewing gallery at the
crocodile, polar bear, sea-lion and penguin enclosures.
You can watch the animal feeding sessions, and don't
miss the animal shows featuring elephants, chimpanzees,
snakes and sea-lions.
