Brief Description
Integrated Basin Modeling - Understanding the Complete System will invite contributions to all aspects of basin modeling including forward stratigraphic modeling, fluid migration, thermal maturity, organic facies, tectonics, 3D compaction and fluid release, petroleum system modeling and diagenesis. Integrated environmental studies involving numerical modelling of coastal development under a rising sea level are also invited. Studies that will discuss recent developments in modeling sediment deposition, transformation of sediment into rock, processes which determine the storage and transmissibility properties of reservoirs and seals in hydrocarbon and groundwater systems and strata-bound mineralization are of particular interest. We invite papers on diagenesis including petrography, geochemistry and geochronology required to establish its significance and assist in its interpretation and application for basin modeling.
