Registration Policy

Authors/Presenters

  1. It is expected that at least one author attends the meeting to present the accepted abstract
  2. Authors whose abstracts are accepted must register their meeting attendance by 1 Jun 2011.
    • Non-member authors need register and pay fees by 1 Jun 2011, or papers will be withdrawn
    • Member authors need register attendance by 1 Jun 2011 or papers will be withdrawn
  3. At the time of registration, the IDs of the abstracts to be presented must be provided. Otherwise, the abstract is considered NOT registered and risk being withdrawn.
  4. Each registration fee covers TWO presentations maximum. An additional registration fee of SGD290/USD243/TWD7850 applies for each paper in excess of the TWO presentations/papers.
  5. Any outstanding abstract processing fee must be settled at the time of meeting registration
  6. Authors are NOT eligible for the one-day pass. One-day pass is strictly for industry participants who do not submit abstracts and/or make presentations.
  7. Registration confirmation is subject to payment being received. Once payment is received, the transaction records can be viewed / printed online.
  8. Student Registration Requires Identification. You will be required to upload a scanned copy of your student proof at the end of the registration process. Acceptable documents for student proof are:
    Your matriculation card with clear indication of the expiry date.
    A status proof letter endorsed by your school, which should show the following information:
  9. 1) Student name
    2) Student matriculation number (student ID)
    3) Expiry date
    4) University name

Industry Participants

  • Industry Participants are defined as individuals who do not submit abstract and do not make presentations.
  • An Industry Participant is eligible to purchase a One-day pass for the chosen meeting day. The pass holder is entitled to attend all sessions for the day.
  • If attending more than 2 days, full fee is applicable and as shown in AOGS/EGU - Members/Non Members Category
  • One-day rates are not applicable to Authors and Presenters

Retirees

  • Retirees are defined to be the delegates who are over the age of 60 and are not employed more than 10% of full time in a professional capacity

Block Registrations

Cancellation Policy

  • Is applicable to any purchases, including field trips, tours, conference registration, optional items, etc.
  • There will be no refund for cancellation/withdrawal received after 20 Jun 2011.
  • For cancellations before 20 Jun 2011, a SGD80 administrative fee (USD68 / TWD 2165) applies.

Indemnity

  • While the organizer will make every effort to screen operators and observe best safety practices, the individual must accept personal responsibility for insurance against travel risk and injury.
  • AOGS encourages all participants to purchase adequate travel and personal insurance.
  • Participants on field trips agree to indemnify AOGS against any claims as arising from injury or loss sustained during the outings.

Fees and Currencies

  1. SGD fees are fixed; USD and TWD fees are indicative and subject to currency fluctuation
  2. Prevailing government taxes and service charges shall apply
  3. Each registration fee covers TWO presentations maximum. An additional registration fee of SGD290/USD243/TWD7850 applies for each paper in excess of the TWO presentations/papers.
  4. Early Bird Rates end on 1 June 2011. Increased Rates apply if payment is not received on or before 1 June 2011

    • If by AMEX: only USD / SGD are accepted; TWD is not accepted

    • An additional SGD80 / USD68 / TWD2165 administrative fee will be charged

Please proceed to "Payment Onsite" Counter at the convention centre during the conference

  1. By Credit Card:
    • If by Visa/MasterCard: TWD / USD / SGD are accepted
    • If by AMEX: only USD / SGD are accepted; TWD is not accepted
  2. By Cash:
    • TWD / USD / SGD are accepted
    • Cash payment must be in EXACT AMOUNT as we shall be unable to return change
